The 88th Annual Academy Awards which was held on Sunday, February 28, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. Mad Max won the most awards during the night. It won Best Film Editing, Best Sound Mixing, Best Costume Design, Best Sound Editing, Best Production Design and Best Makeup and Hairstyling

Movie, "Couple Of Days“ Sets A New Box Office Record

We don’t hear of records being smashed every day in Nollywood.  So when it happens, it gets our attention, after 3 weeks in cinemas nationwide, information reaching us on Nollywood's trending movie "Couple of days" is that the movie has set a new box office record. Couple of days has achieved the highest ticket sales in one day - for any Nollywood movie in Cinema in February. 

 Confirmed Ticket sales on valentine day smashed the previous one day national ticket sales record and set a new record for the month of February.

This romantic drama has deeply connected with Nigerian Movie lovers with most married couples calling it out as the "boldest" and "best Nollywood movie" on the subject of relationships and marriage. 

Since the movie premier in Ibadan and all through the month of February, lovers  have trooped into Cinemas across Nigeria to enjoy the flick directed by Lord Tanner and featuring Nollywood rising stars like Adesua Etomi, Lilian Esoro, Enyinna Nwigwe, Kiki Omeili and Okey Uzoeshi.  Falz the Bahd Guy made his Nollywood debut alongside his love interest "Judi" played by Juliana Olayode (Jenifa's Diaries). Completing the cast is MBGN 2015 Unoaku Anyadike and October 1st Star - Demola Adedoyin.

Nationwide Ticket sales tracked by Filmone Nigeria, shows that in three weeks of its release the movie Couple of Days has smashed its way into the top 20 highest grossing  movies in Nigeria..

Produced by Ayo Orunmuyi - Couple of Days is definitely a must watch for Nollywood movies and a refreshing departure from the norm. The movie is still in cinemas through March. Its acceptance is another strong indication that it will be in cinemas for more than a Couple of Days.

Celine Dion Changes Las Vegas Show to Include Tribute to Late Husband Rene Angelil

Celine Dion is changing up her Las Vegas, Nevada show to honour her late husband, René Angélil, who died Jan. 14.

When Dion returns to the stage on Tuesday night at Caesars Colosseum for her first show since Angélil's death, it will begin with a moving 10-minute tribute to her longtime love, a source confirms to ET.

Although it is likely the 47-year-old singer will continue the tribute for the remaining shows before her March hiatus, the source adds that Dion could decide she does not feel up to performing the tribute at each show.

Angélil was Dion's manager and his death from cancer -- two days before his 74th birthday -- hit the "My Heart Will Go On" singer hard.

Earlier this month, the GRAMMY winner spoke emotionally about Angélil before a star-studded gathering at a memorial in Las Vegas, remembering the "love of my life."

"Rene never hated anyone," she said, speaking to the gathering. "Is it possible someone loves everybody? I don't think so. But he never told me a person he disliked… Time was precious to him. He loved life so much, so very much."

Peter Okoye In War Of Words With Brother Jude Okoye

Things are no longer at ease in the camp of pop singers, PSquare as Peter Okoye has sacked the music group manager of many years, Jude Okoye who is the elder brother of the pop duo.
Peter who has been on a business trip in the United Kingdom said midweek that he can no longer keep quiet about his challenge with the management style of their brother. He also denounced the service of his brother warning that anybody who continues to do business with him on behalf the music group does so at their peril.
  Jude Okoye’s response came less than 12 hours after, telling Peter to seek for prayers as that is his problem. Jude who owns Northside Entertainment did not respond on the dismissal but chided his junior brother asking fans to pray for him.  
The family has been going through a rough patch since the death of their mother few years ago. Until her death, she was widely regarded as the stabilizing factor for the brothers.
Jude who is the elder brother of the twins, Peter and Paul has been managing their affairs for the past 10 years. In recent tweets, Peter also openly accused Jude of double dealing by signing a contract with the female dance hall sensation, Cynthia Morgan only few days after she rejected his offer. According to Peter who has since floated his own record label PClassic Records, dancehall act, Cynthia Morgan returned his contract papers and to his chagrin signed up with his brother’s Northside Music Entertainment only two weeks after.
Cynthia who is now the object of war between the brothers refused to react to Peter’s allegations but categorically stated that she was not pregnant for Jude. It was not clear if she is pregnant at all.
His latest accusation is the latest installment in the ongoing cold war with his brother and manager of the PSquare band for the past 10 years. The message was directed at his twin brother, Paul Okoye. Using the harshtag, #NoBeByForce, Peter again reiterated his sacking of Jude Okoye as their manager. Jude Okoye is married with a kid. Cynthia Morgan however refused to comment on her role in the war between her boss and his brother, Peter Okoye. 

Kendall Jenner slams Kylie’s relationship with Tyga

On the February 14th episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians, Kendall Jenner told Kylie that she finally needs to break up with Tyga as she is tired of seeing her upset and sad over him.

18 year old Kylie broke down crying  because she and Tyga, 26, have so many issues. The girls were filming a music video for Kris Jenner's 60th birthday party but Kylie just couldn’t have fun with her sisters. When they start to ask her what’s wrong she starts crying and storms off!

All of the gals  Kim, 35, Kourtney, 36, and Khloe, were filming Kris’s 60th birthday music video and the whole time Kylie was a little off. When they ask her what’s going on, she keeps saying, “just stuff with T.”

Kendall’s 20th birthday party was coming up and they were all discussing who was going to attend, and Kendall said she invited Tyga. “I invited Tyga before Kylie and Tyga had their issue,” Kendall said.
That was the complete last straw and finally, Kylie completely breaks down crying and runs off the set and says she doesn’t want to be on camera anymore. Kendall just doesn’t understand why she doesn’t just cut the cord for good after all their issues:

“She’s really vague when it comes to Tyga,” Kendall explains. Kendall looked Kylie in the eyes and said, “I don’t think you actually want to even experience things. Whoah, tough love can be harsh"

All of the girls were on Kendall’s side though. Khloe said it straight-forward,

“We’re all going through things but lets tough it out for one hour to make Mom happy.” We are totally on their side, but we did feel terrible when Kylie was hysterically crying and said, I feel really bad that this is the only day we can all meet to do the video, but I’m just really upset right now.”

Kendall’s birthday party  at the Nice Guy was full of tension and was super awkward, of course. Before it even started, Kylie said,

“I just hope that we can make it through the night without drama.” Everyone was freaking out, even Khloe, who said, “It’s definitely awkward to have Kylie and Tyga both here so we’re all just watching.”

The whole time at Kendall’s party, everyone is trying to cheer Kylie up but she’s just not having it. Until Tyga runs up to her and puts his arm around her and all of a sudden everything is just peachy — how insane is that?
Kendall wasn’t even surprised though,

“I totally knew they’d be fine when they saw each other, I knew they’d get back together. That always happens. It just is what it is,” she said.

Kanye West: Talk about me and pay $10 milliom

Kanye west gave the crew at his Madison Square Garden show 10 million reasons to keep their mouths shut about him and his family.

We've obtained docs which Kanye got his crew to sign, in which they promise not to breathe a word about what they saw or heard about "all members of the Kardashian, Jenner and West families." The guarantee of confidentiality comes with a threat. Any breach would result in a damage claim "not less than ten million dollars." 

As for how long the crew has to zip it ... "the life of artist plus ten years, or fifty years, whichever is longer."
